King's College Hospital Charity
I have done all areas of fundraising over the years. I started off in direct mail and spent six years managing the individual giving programme for WaterAid. Then 15 years in the arts (V&A and the Horniman Museum) where the focus was on grant giving, principally for capital projects, but alongside that we did a lot to develop the local supporter base and start a major donor programme. This was followed by two years developing a corporate supporter-base at RCVS Knowledge to assist our efforts to advance evidence-based veterinary medicine. In recent years I have focused on philanthropy and managed major donor relationships for Diabetes UK, Sue Ryder, London Business School and currently Kings' College Hospital Charity, attracting four, five and six figure gifts for research, care and education programmes and new equipment, as well as for unrestricted needs.
